About Kooper

Kooper is an 11 year old Australian Shepherd that loves to still play fetch, swim and run in open spaces. He lays around during the day, but will gladly go on adventures. He especially loves chasing geese at the lake, although we try to not allow that since he will swim forever trying to get them. After being in our house for 10 years, we need to find him a new home. He is not ideal for a household with kids, we now have two toddlers. Per our vet, he may be getting more sensitive with arthritis, which causes him to nip when startled. He will also nip at our visitors showing his dominance and protecting us, but does not draw blood or bite hard. We usually just give our visitors a treat to feed him or put him in another room when they enter. He is fine when we bring him out after the visitors are in the house. He has nipped twice recently drawing blood in other circumstances, which is why we need to rehome him. We would love to find him a child-free home that can offer him the love that he deserves in his senior years.
