About George

Doberman Pinscher
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

George is a beautiful, 3 year old, male Doberman. George is a gentle, sweet soul even though he had a rough time before he was rescued. George was rescued from a breeder/hoarder situation and was placed with his foster family at the beginning of December. He tolerated being held in court custody for along time, and now he is ready for his very own home. George was a bit unsure of how to be a pet dog when he first arrived in his foster home, but now he is comfortable and enjoys all the comforts of a home and being petted. He may have some minor loss of vision, but it doesn't interfere with him interacting with people and dogs. He can get around and play with toys just fine. George knew from the beginning not to go potty in the house and is crate trained. As he has gotten comfortable, he spends less time in the crate and hangs with the foster family on his bed or around the house. He sleeps in his crate at bedtime and doesn't make a peep all night. His personality has been evolving as he becomes more confident. He has become very playful and learned what toys are just recently. He has met a couple other dogs and we believe that he would do well in a house with another dog that could play with him and show him the pet life ropes. George is smart, a fast learner and eager to please. Because George is a bit insecure, but rapidly improving, a home with children over 16 is recommended. George's favorite activities are walks, sniffing, and being around his people. Cats are an unknown. PACA is a foster based rescue with no shelter to view our dogs. We have temporarily stopped all our public adoption events due to COVID-19, however we are still placing dog into loving homes by private appointment with approved applications. Completed applications will be given to the foster to coordinate meetings as everyone feels comfortable. This application helps us get to know you and your family a little better so we can find the perfect match! Application are found here: http://www.nmpaca.org/images/pdf_files/PACA_Adoption_Application.pdf Please email completed applications to [email protected] All our animals are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested for tic born illness and heartworm prior to adoption. Our fee is $175.
