About Best friends!!

Sammi is a 4 yrs and 8 mos old Great Dane/Grethound mix. He's VERY loving, gentle and wants to please. He's smart and eager to learn! In the short time he's been with me, he knows sit, stand, come, down, let's go, stay, bring and quiet. He doesn't get on any furniture, except my bed, when I'm gone. (I keep a sheet on bed to protect my quilt) No messes, no marking territory or jumping except when someone comes in the house, besides me. He's very protective! His bark, while infrequent, would keep any intruder away. He sleeps on his bed at foot of my bed. Wakes me if he needs to go out during the night by standing at my bed till I wake. He loves to play, does figure 8s in my big back yard for exercise. No digging in yard or chewing anything but his toys. Letting Sammi go is one of the hardest decisions I've had to make. He's 78 lbs of solid muscle and VERY strong. I only weigh 124 lbs and have osteoporosis. I believe dogs need to be walked and he's too strong for me to walk him on the street without fear of falling. I don't want him to go to a shelter or another foster home. I will keep him until we find a FOREVER home that will love him as much as I do. He is up to date with his vaccines.
