About CHIEF

Catahoula Mix CHIEF (CrazyDog) CATAHOULA is a beautiful Catahoula miix, mostly black with tan points over the eyes and on the feet and a white blaze down his chest. He is about 55 lbs, tall and lanky. He is super sweet and intelligent, very eager to please . House trained and mostly crate trained (he is fed in his crate, will bark his head off and then quiet down). He is up to date on all his shots, heart-worm medicine and is both neutered and micro-chipped. Chief came to us right before Mardi Gras from a high-kill shelter where he had been since he was just a pup, exactly one year ago so he was stuck in a very small run for over 10 months. He has a lot of energy. READY for adoption Chief should not go to a household with small children - Possibly he would do very well with teens who are used to dogs and do not make hm nervous. He would be a superb companion for an active adult /couple and a great guard dog to boot for your house or apartment. He comes with his large crate. I rescued Chief from a high-kill shelter a year 1/2 ago and he was wild. He'd been in a kennel since he was a puppy and was a year old and had no socialization at all. Now he knows to be on a leash and can sit quietly for a while and sit and stay. He gets along with my other dogs but children make him nervous and he's still in need of socializing. Adoption fee is $150.00 - He's just had his vaccinations renewed, is heartworm - and comes with his own crate.
