About Prudence

Prudence is a 3-4 year old, mixed breed dog who weighs 37 pounds. You can tell that Pru's previous owner didn't take very good care of her! He skin was a nasty mess but is healing well. She has completed treatment for heartworm and is now ready to find a family that will take good care of her forever! She is a tad shy at times but is really happy and active once she settles in. She has been non-reactive with other dogs and is fine with kids who are big enough not to be knocked over by her! We have not exposed her to cats. Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and are scheduling individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA area during the pandemic. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
