About Huggy Bear

American Bulldog / Lab
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Meet Huggy Bear! Huggy Bear is a 56 lb, 1 year old lab/american bulldog mix filled with personality. He was found as a stray down south and was the longest resident at the shelter. Thanks to your donations, Huggy Bear received his heartworm treatment and is waiting to find his forever home! He is an extremely sweet boy that loves everyone he meets and wants to play. Huggy Bear enjoys attention and receiving all of the belly rubs. He likes fetching toys and bringing it back so the fun can be continued. Huggy Bear is housebroken and crate trained. He has a lot of energy so everyday walks are a must! Huggy Bear is fantastic with other dogs of all sizes, but tends to be very energetic. His current foster home does not have cats, but with his energy level, we do not recommend cats at this time. Huggy Bear does amazing with kids of all ages. He knows basic commands and will do anything for a treat or his favorite bone to chew on. Huggy Bear is working on leash walking and has improved immensely since being in his foster home. He does really well on car rides and makes the best co-pilot. Huggy Bear is up to date on vaccines, neutered, and being fostered in New Freedom, PA. We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $300 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $350 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. We are an all-volunteer organization and we are always looking for more help. Learn more about adopting from us or volunteering for us at www.pack9rescue.org or check us out on Facebook for more information and a complete list of dogs available for adoption.
