SCHEDULED FOR EUTHANASIA Hi, my name is JASON - ID#A4521201. I am a neutered male, black Labrador Retriever and American Pit Bull Terrier mix. The shelter staff think I am about 2 years old, and I have been at the shelter since Jan 02, 2021. Adorable Jason is a playful pup. He knows sit and plays fetch in the yard. He is loving and affectionate. He is having a hard time at shelter due to his energy level and not getting out very often. He did okay with dogs but his play style is too rough for most dogs. Here are some recents notes about Jason: 1/10/2021 OBSERVATION At kennel door on approach, jumping up and down on gate, barking/whining excitedly. Tried to push out, bit at leash, handler was able to quickly place leash, exited quickly. Jumped up at leash once while exiting building. Pulled very hard on leash walking to a play yard. Explored yard, allowed petting, did not seek attention but came to handler when called. Pulled hard returning to kennel, walked into kennel and allowed leash removal. 1/10/2021 EVALUATION Due to previous observations and increasing arousal levels, updating recommendations, level and requirements; adding to extra enrichment. 1/16/2021 Handler let canine run through alleyway to I yard. In yard canine was playful with toys, solicited attention from handler. Practiced 'sit' and played fetch. Explored yard. Ran back to kennel without issue.
