About Tipton

Tipton is an active young dog with a good sense of humor. Tipton comes from the streets of Las Vegas - New Mexico. He is very curious and loves pets and neck scratches. He has interesting brindle accents on his face and legs and his mix of breeds is not obvious, so his foster mom did a DNA test, showing he was mostly Aussie, Heeler and Husky. Tipton is perfect medium size of 47 pounds. He loves to play with his dog friends at his foster home, but can relax on a dog bed with the best of them. Tipton is extremely intelligent, learning commands and routines quickly. Tipton is crate trained and house trained and walks on leash like a pro. He would LOVE a playful female dog as a companion. Tipton is a bit of a project dog. He was a feral street dog when his foster mom took him. In his foster home he acts completely normal with his people. However, in a new home, he will need some patience and training to trust his new humans. His foster mom will assist with all of this for the right adopter. Tipton is still a bit wary of strangers on walks, but he is getting better everyday. Tipton has never shown aggression towards dog or human, but may want to chase cats and chickens. Tipton would do best with an active but quieter household so an adult only household would be best. Tipton is scared of children. Tipton is an awesome companion sure to bring many smiles to a home willing to give him some time. Completed applications will be given to the foster to coordinate meetings as everyone feels comfortable.
