About Dakota & Piper

Are you ready for puppy love? Meet Dakota and Piper- 8- 10 month old beagle/treeing walker coonhound mix puppies. Somewhat bonded sisters, could be adopted separately but still would do well together as they love each other a lot.. Both are pure puppies and need lots of 'manner' training. Very high energy and need lots of stimulating activities. They are super smart and fun. Meet Dakota- Dakota is the Alpha of the 2. She tends to lead and insert herself. She loves snuggling with you on the sofa and will take up most of the room. She sleeps in a crate in her fosters room next to her sister Piper. She does well when it's sleep time but when it's time to get up, she's ready to run out of her crate and start her day and she will let you know that. At the beginning she has shown signs of food aggression but has quickly shaped up with the help of her fosters. Her fosters are training her to not gobble down her food so quickly. Very food motivated. And would need a fence to continue to run off energy even after a walk. Meet Piper- Piper is the beta of the 2. She's much quieter and more timid. Don't let that fool you as she is a counter surfer. Super sweet and still loves to snuggle. Takes a little more time to warm up. Has not shown signs of food aggression. Has come to FTO more under weight then her Alpha sister. Likes to sleep in her crate and does great at night in it. She will stay in there until you physically get her out. Very food motivated. And would need a fence to continue to run off energy even after a walk. Both are amazing with small children. Currently in the house with a 3 year old and a 5 month old. Love to play with other dogs as well. Due to the high energy may not do well with older dogs. These sisters are amazing! Are you ready for the perfect companion(s)?
