About Chauncifer

This is Chauncifer. At 2 years old Chauncifer is a whopping 111 pounds. Chauncifer, often referred to by his nicknames Chaunce and Chauncy, was saved off the euthanasia list at the local municipal shelter. Now you are probably asking, 'Why was he on the euthanasia list?', well, Chaunce is a big, strong guy who does not like other dogs. He absolutely can not live with other animals. Chauncy can't live with young kids either. He needs an adult-only, no other pet home, and we know that is a lot to ask. He was adopted twice and returned for his behavior both times, the first time he was adopted the adopter was vigilant enough to realize that Chaunce did not like the loudness and activity of her toddler. During his second adoption he snapped at the adopter and showed behavior that has not been seen before. At the shelter, volunteers would describe him as being a sweety with them once he has the time to warm up to them. Meeting him has shown that what they say is true. We would love to find Chauncifer is own forever home or even a foster home. He needs a dog-savvy person that will commit to following a training plan put in place.
