I've had Capers a short time. 3 weeks after adopting him my husband died. Now I am preparing to move to an apartment where he is too big to be allowed. He's high energy, but completely housebroken and has some training. He is affectionate and would like to be a lap dog at times. Capers loves car rides and will do almost anything for peanut butter. He's not good with smaller dogs or cats, but has been okay with a dog his size on a play date. He follows me around the house and likes our walks and playing in the dog park. He is heart worm negative and on medication and has a microchip. I don't want him to go back to the shelter, it really stresses him out, which lead to him being there longer than necessary. He's a big goof, but he needs a strong, steady hand to keep him on the right path.
