SHE NEEDS EVERYTHING: RESCUE/FOSTER/PLEDGES. SHE IS STAFF FAVORITE!! LUCKY - ID #A1034647 Orange County Shelter, Tustin, So Cal No PH listing up From the Shelter: 'Meet Lucky! Lucky is a sweet senior girl who came in on 10/22. Lucky was originally adopted from us in 2010. She has had a few adventures outside her home and came back to us a few times over the years and was always redeemed. When poor Lucky came in this time it was due to a cruelty case. When Lucky came, she had a mass on her abdomen that was actively bleeding and she was severely anemic. It appears her owner was unable to provide her the care she needed and they lost ownership of her. We were able to do surgery to remove her mass an send it out for biopsy. The biopsy results show that the mass was cutaneous hemangiosarcoma. Since she has been here we have noted Lucky has a smaller mass that we suspect is also a hemangioma due to its color that will need to be monitor closely or removed. Lucky is a staff favorite, but the shelter environment is not good for her. She is dog reactive, so the constant exposure to other dogs is very stressful for her. Lucky sometimes has difficulty using her hind legs and living long term on hard flooring has not helped her condition. Her physical comfort needs and medical needs are more than we can provide her. She is in need of further diagnostics for her skin mass and possibly an orthopedic evaluation for her walking difficulty. Lucky also loves all the attention to herself so she would do best as the only pet. If your rescue organization can help sweet senior girl Lucky please contact us so we can arrange pick up.' No aggression when we tested her with food, she let us touch her food and even walked away to get a drink of water..Video of behavior posted.'
