Rocky is 3 years old and 60lbs. Rocky is a very smart boy, learns fast, and responds well to positive praise. He wants to please his people and will if you show him what you expect. He is good with other dogs and enjoys playing with them and going for walks with them. He knows his basic commands. He does pull on leash when he sees something he wants, usually another dog he wants to say hello to. Rocky can get excited when he sees you and jump up, but will immediately stop when reminded its not good manners. He needs an owner willing to exercise him and play fetch to drain some of his energy. Daily walks would be great. He loves to jog and is great at keeping the pace of the person he is running with. Once he has been exercised he is happy to just hang out with his people. Rocky lives with two other dogs in his foster home and does well with them. He does however have a tendency to guard his food bowl from them if it is left out after eating. The remedy is to remove the bowl and he will forget about it. He needs structured feeding time where he eats, then the bowl is put away until it is time to eat again. He does take treats nicely with the other dogs when his foster has them all sit and take turns. He takes treats very gently from his human and doesn't show any aggression. Rocky is vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. He is house trained and will use a crate if needed. He would love an active home where he is included in the activities. He needs a fully fenced yard with a standard 6ft fence. We suggest middle aged children and older, no cats. If you think you can offer Rocky the stable home he deserves please submit an application to www.takemehomedogrescue.org
