Louise has a sad story and is fully ready to move on to a better life. She and a companion were most probably dumped near Slab Creek Bridge on Douglas-Hyatt Road. The next thing we know, a lady called Animal Control and said she had the dogs in her car. She said she had seen somebody dump them on Highway 75 near Lazy Creek Road. It was definitely the same two dogs according to pictures. We named them Thelma and Louise. Sadly, Thelma, had to be euthanized because the extent of her injuries was too severe. Louise is with us, and she is an incredibly sweet girl. She holds absolutely no grudge against humans and will put her paws on your shoulders while covering you in kisses. She shows marking of collar/rope/chain injury around her neck, but they should easily heal with proper care. She will be spayed and vaccinated before adoption.
