Suki's new owner has other pets and is unable to give her the care she needs at this time but wanted to find her a wonderful home. Her owner says, 'Suki is a super sweet docile dog. She just wants to be near you to feel your presence. She loves loves to walk and even runs with me. This girl was dealt an unfair hand going blind at 2yrs. old. Just want her to have to best life possible. This (a wonderful home) is what she deserves and should have nothing less. Name: Suki Age: 6 yrs Breed: Akita mix (62#) Sex: Female (Not Spayed) Location: Suffolk Co, NY Suki's owner took Suki in from a family member who could no longer care for her with the hopes of finding her a wonderful, forever home. Suki is house broken and leash trained and knows 'sit, stay, down, paw, stop on leash, leave it'. Suki is a sweet girl who is looking for her forever home. Vet Information: Suki is up to date on her vaccines (with the exception of her DHPP booster which was not given) and her last heart worm test (April 2020) was negative. Owner information: Suki's owner describes her as an indoor dog confined to one area of the house. She is leash trained and house trained. She is said to be good with men, women, teenagers, younger children.. Suki knows 'sit, stay, down, paw, stop on leash, leave it'. SUKI's owner indicates that she should be the only pet in the house. *Suki lived with a female shepherd at one time and they did not get along. The following information was provided by Suki's owner when asked if Suki ever snapped or bit at people or another dog: 'When I brought Suki home the first night I had her tethered to the sofa. My little chi jumped on sofa and I think startled her and she turned and snipped at her. Think because she was nervous from being displaced, in a new home and cannot see'. When asked if Suki adapts well to new situations: 'Yes. I've only had her 2 weeks and she's adjusting greatly. Very nervous and scared when first arrived. Had trouble settling down. Now she's eating great, walks great on a leash. Sits and gets comfortable and lays on the floor. Relaxed when in crate'. Please email [email protected] if you are interested in this sweetheart.
