About Buddy (1 yr 10-12 lb)

He probably weighs 10-12 lb (we haven't weighed him yet) and he's 1 year old. -------------------------------------------------------------------- He's got a typical Chihuahua personality and enjoys napping on the lap of his person cuddled into a soft blanket (which is where he is as I'm writing this). Not a crazed barker, we only hear him bark during exciting things like delivery trucks and maybe meal time or if he's playing with the pack he'll make some noise. -------------------------------------------------------------------- He'll be a little bit skittish upon first meeting you but within a week in foster he's settled in with his foster family and their pack quite nicely. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Buddy will do best as an only dog or with other small dogs like Chihuahuas. We have not had him around children but we think given his size and the Chihuahua personality, any children in the home should be age 12 and up. He'd probably be skittish of young kids shrieking in play. -------------------------------------------------------------------- He is crate trained but not fully housebroken yet so will need someone willing to work on that. He will potty out in the yard if you go out with him but doesn't yet know how to ask to go outside so if we don't get him out every 2-3 hours he will have accidents indoors.
