Adoption Fee: $375
Australian Shepherd / Beagle
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Rusty is an adorable, loving, and goofy guy looking for a loving family. This sweet boy was rescued from an overburdened animal control facility in rural Kentucky. He appears to have some Aussie or maybe Shetland Sheepdog and Beagle somewhere in him, but we cannot say for sure what his exact breed mix is. We can say, though, that he is 100% adorable! Rusty is estimated to be about 10 months old and weighs 30 pounds. We are not expecting him to get much larger, so he is a great medium size, not too large, not too small. Rusty can be timid when meeting new people and in new situations, but he warms up quickly. He loves to go for long walks, and he loves to play ball! It appears that he has not had much formal training and can still be a bit rambunctious when excited. Like many herding breeds and mixes, he can also be very mouthy when playing and likes to nip at the back of his human's heels, feet, and hands, when playing. Because of this, we feel he'd do best in a home without very young children. Rusty's ideal guardians will help him work on his manners and provide some basic obedience training. He will thrive in a home that can provide exercise and playtime throughout the day. He is quietly crate trained and is housebroken when kept on a regular schedule. Rusty also does well with other dogs that can tolerate his energy level and play style. He is anxious to meet his forever family; could it be yours? 'ۢ Rusty's adoption fee is $375. This fee covers the cost of his neuter, initial vaccines, microchip, and initial de-worming. This donation helps to cover any necessary medical care to prepare him for adoption.
