About Tony

Tony is an 11 year-old, 26 pound Parson Jack Russell mix. He's friendly with humans and other dogs. He's affectionate and loves giving kisses, sitting on laps and snuggling. Over the years, he's been flexible with moves between our family members. He's happily lived in a multi-dog family home, shared student homes,and an apartment with a 20-something male. He is intelligent and understands, sit, stay and 'leave it'. However, he has a strong will (as many terriers do) and may not always follow commands. He's potty and crate trained and enjoys spending time in his crate throughout the day. He loves to go on walks, chase lizards, squirrels and birds in the yard. (i.e. he has a strong prey drive). He loves dog parks where he can hold his own in the large dog area. In the nine years our family has owned him he has only bitten another dog once, a small breed puppy that activated his prey drive. Because of his curious and energetic nature, he has become a bit of an escape artist. He will need an apartment/condo or a home with a secure front door and/or yard. He is not compatible with cats. We would love to find him a loving home where he can be safe to live out his terrier nature.
