About Pele

Pele has such a sad story, I wish he could tell us about his life. He came to us from a New Mexico rescue group via our friend in Colorado. He was originally in Mexico. He has been heart worm tested and is negative, but he was treated for anaplasma which kept him on an antibiotic for a full month. He is negative now. WE think he is around 7 years old, possibly more and possibly less. But he does have cataracts developing on his eyes, which could be age or it could be untreated illness that does this to a dog. The Mexican sun sure does not help either. He is a schnauzer and poodle mix we think and he is more on the standard size. He is about 30 pounds. He would love a cozy bed and a fenced in yard to explore. He will be adoptable after he gets his surgery on Wednesday the 20th of January and gets his eyes checked out that day as well. He seems to see well enough, but likely it is a bit foggy. He can go home on the 21st if all goes well. he will be neutered and chipped and fully vaccinated at that time. His fee is $250 for adoption. Check out his before trimming pictures...so sad...
