About Ares

Ares is a wild child looking for an active and energetic family who can keep up with him! He is a 2.5 month old Pit Bull mix who weighs about 17 pounds and still has plenty of growing to do. His mom weighs 38 pounds, but he will most likely be larger than her. Ares had a rough start to life and was found wandering the desert with his mother, Hera. Thankfully they were found by a HARTT volunteer and brought to us, where they have stayed together in a foster home. He has blossomed from a shy little pup to a confident and active boy. Ares is all about playtime, and needs another playful dog in the home to help keep him entertained. He also requires a fenced in backyard to run and play in, that will be big enough for the dog he grows up to be. Ares is a very smart boy who already knows sit, down, roll over, crawl, and place, and is looking for someone who wants to continue teaching him new things and engage in regular activities with him to keep his sharp mind engaged. He will also need ongoing work on his potty training and basic household manners as he continues to grow. Ares envisions a future filled with hiking, playing, engaging activities, and endless love. He is neutered, vet checked, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. His adoption fee of $400 includes a complimentary vet visit.
