About GRETA and GERTI

Greta and Gerti are mother and daughter ... they've been together since the day Gerti was born, about 3 years ago and that's how they want to keep it. Mama Greta is about 7 years old and is such a good mama to her little girl, and oh does Gerti love her mama! She runs to mama and jumps on her with kisses, kisses, kisses! As you can see in the pictures, Greta is seriously overweight. They were surrendered to us and it's clear that for whatever reason, their owner was unable to properly monitor the food or take them for much needed walks. Greta came to us at about 38 pounds and she's lost about 4 pounds. Her new family should be dedicated to taking her on easy walks to get her back in shape and help her lose weight and reach her healthy weight in a healthy fashion. She should probably be right around 25 pounds. Portion control and healthy food is essential, as well as healthy snacks (carrot tidbits and frozen green beans instead of biscuits). Gerti is probably just a little over 20 pounds and could stand to lose just a few. Daily walks with her mama will be good for her as well, and of course healthy brand food with proper portions. Both girls are well adjusted and appreciate attention. They're nicely behaved and they aim to please. If you know schnauzers, you know just how 'human' they can be and they love their people so much. Adoption fee for this pair is $540.00. These young ladies are health-checked, spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. They're seeking a home preferably with no other dogs, and any children in the home should be at least 10 years old and of a kind, gentle, and respectful nature.
