About Isabelle

Isabelle is a sweet girl who has had a rough life so far, and is looking for a truly loving home to give her the very best for the rest of her life! She is a six year old Maltese mix who weighs 5.1 pounds and is fully grown. Isabelle came to us in bad condition, with matted fur and a badly infected jaw that was fractured and required all of her remaining 15 teeth to be extracted. She has been recovering in a foster home where she is learning what it is like to be a beloved member of a family. She may only be six, but she is a little old lady at heart looking for someone's lap to snuggle on. She is a timid girl initially and is looking for a mature home with no kids. Isabelle takes a little time to warm up, but with love and gentle care she comes out of her shell. She can get along with other dogs in social situations, but does get possessive of her people and should be the only dog living in the home. She does have a tendency to get chatty, so would not do well in an apartment or condo with shared walls. Isabelle is potty trained, kennel trained, and knows how to use a doggy door. She would love a home where she can cuddle up in bed with her people and be doted on for the rest of her life. Isabelle is up to date on vaccines, dental done, vet checked, and microchipped.
