Applications closed. We have had a heavy # of inquiries for Ian and are working thru the applicants for the best match with two waitlisted. Ian along with his parents came in as strays to the Riverside County Animal Shelter. The parents went to one or more rescue groups. Ian came into my rescue two days after an adopter (all was done by lottery) bailed him out but found she wasn't ready for another corgi as she had just lost her corgi two weeks earlier. I had referred her to the shelter so when she emailed me if I'd be interested in accepting him into my rescue, we set up a meet/greet in El Monte and Ian has been with me since 1/6/2020 Both of his parents were 3 years of age and he's a year. He has more of a shiba inue look but also corgi for sure. He's long bodied and about 25 lbs but will fill out. He is great with other dogs and the lady who got him on 1/4 for the short stay said he was fine with her cat. He is housebroken and crate trained but not leash trained. He is a pup so will chew on fabric and other items if not monitored. He is fine with chew toys that can hold up. He is neutered, up to date on his shots and microchipped. Adoption process: completion of a pre adopt ap, homeck, two week (or longer) trial period, familarity with the corgi breed and placement is limited to LA and OC Counties. Adoption donation is $450. We can show the parents' photos by email.
