About Kylo Ren

Adoption Fee: $200
American Staffordshire Terrier mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

This sweet boy is Kylo Ren, formally known as 'Happy' from Broward Animal Shelter. He was found as a stray in October, and brought to the Broward County Shelter. He was adopted out in November and returned to shelter 3 days later. Reason for returning was too many dogs so they could not keep. He was then adopted again. Before the family left the shelter, the parent claimed they did not want him anymore because he bit the child's thigh while still at the shelter. So broward immediately removed him from adoption floor and placed in quarantine. This turned out to be believed to be play, and so the Shelter gave him time. A mutual friend's daughter, Sophie, went to the shelter in December and a worker told her about Kylo, and said they were going to euthanize him. He then came out to meet Sophie and she said no way can she let him die so she adopted him without talking to her mother. Sophie, and her mom have been trying on their own to find him a forever home since then, but without success. Sophie's mom has been working with him and spending time with him every day! He's crate trained, housebroken, knows basic commands, and is very smart! He is eager for attention and affection. He gets along with their two other big dogs. He has not been around their 5 little dogs yet. Kylo is currently at their house still but they can't keep too much longer. Both parents work full time and have 7 dogs of their own, plus Kylo now. So with rotating them, and working full time it is a lot for Sophie's mom to handle. We feel the information being told to us regarding the incident at the shelter is minor based on what we were told and that it was play since we now know his personally and playfulness. However because we were not there personally we would prefer no children under 11 just for safety reasons. If you can foster, or adopt Kylo please contact us ASAP as the current family fostering him cannot hold him any longer
