About Hank

We adopted Hank from a shelter when he was 6 months old. We have had him for nearly 2 years and he has been great with our family. He is very loving and affectionate with everyone in our family including my two young daughters 5 and 8. Hanks struggles come with others he gets very nervous when others outside of our family come around and becomes very protective of my wife and daughters in the form or growling, bumping and nipping at others. This only seems to be an issue while at our home as he does well with others outside of our home and is great at the dog parks with both other people and dogs. Our concern is due to the amount of young children that come into our home with our daughters and our effort to prevent an incident from happing. He is a very smart dog and easily trained it would be better in a home with older children.
