About Roxie

Hello my name is Roxie I am a two-year-old shepherd mix per my shelter paperwork and weigh 50.8 pounds. I have a very sad story and it touched the hearts of my rescue and they came and got me from the shelter. I was with my owner in Reidsville North Carolina when someone shot and killed him when we were walking. I didn't know what to do so I guarded his body until the help arrived. These nice policemen came and picked me up and took me to the shelter where I had to stay from 10/16/20 until my rescue pulled me on 1/11/21 when I became available. I had to be held for investigation and I was so confused as to what happened to my person and what I had done wrong to be taken to a shelter. The ladies there gave me lots of love and attention and now I'm in a loving foster home waiting on someone to choose me. I am house trained dog friendly and do well with children. They do not know about cats since my foster does not have one. I just want a new home of my very own and people to love me and give me a safe home. What I went through was very traumatic and I do not want to lose another human that I love that way.
