About Etta

Etta is a ten-year-old terrier mix currently being fostered in Manatee County, FL. Etta has been treated for heartworms, put on some weight, and is ready to go! She has been such a good girl among ten other dogs of all sizes and breeds. She has not yet met any cats. She likes to play with her ball, loves walks, and enjoys a good belly rub. She is crate trained and house broken. Etta was pulled from a local shelter needing help for her heartworm treatment. She has done fabulous. While we don't normally take bullies in a herding dog rescue, Etta sent out a special message and needed help. And now she is ready to continue her journey. She will be the perfect girl for someone to take on walks, sit by the lake and watch the sun go down or just go for car rides! UPDATE ON ETTA. Although her heartworm treatment has been successful,Ettas heart was damaged from the worms. She is currently on cardiac meds and a diuretic, which will probably be lifelong. Her energy level is low to medium and she self limits. She will be a great lower key pet for walks and occasional ball playing. She is in need of a nice quiet home, loves other dogs for company!!
