About Baby Jovie

Oh, what a sweet day-after-Christmas surprise this tiny girl was! We have no idea how such a young thing as Jovie ends up in a shelter as a 'stray' and yet there she was. It was our foster's pleasure to take her in. Jovie is now about two months old and is all set for a new home. Jovie gets along great with other small dogs and would love to find a home with at least one other dog, though she loves people too. She will sleep in a crate if she must but prefers the company of other dogs or snuggling with her humans. She is too young yet to have gone on walks so will need her new humans to teach her good leash manners when she has been fully vaccinated. Respectful children over eight should be fine with this girl and cats will teach her her place in their home so cats are okay too. All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live. Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed if necessary, de-flea'd (with topical treatment if old enough, and by medicated bath if too young), spayed/neutered, microchipped, is up to date on shots, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a lead and collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
