VIDEO INCLUDED! We are looking for a special, loving adopter for our sweet Maltese senior, Oliver. He was rescued from a high kill shelter in January 2019 and has been staying with a foster family since then. Oliver is about 12-13 years old. Weighs about 25 lbs. Mostly blind and hard of hearing. His foster says his disabilities do not stop him from being amazing! He would learn his ways around once he is familiar with his surroundings. He would come up to you immediately when you open a bag of potato chips or dog treats. He would follow your scent around in the home and lay down once he finds you for security. Oliver is unbelievably sweet and mellow. Amazing and patient with young children although we'd like for him to to be in a quiet, calm home because it is his golden years. Good with other dogs. Fine with cats. Oliver would love to be in the same room as you, lay next to you on the couch. He enjoys being outside, so an enclosed yard with grass would be nice! He enjoys going out for short walks. Good on potty training- he does his business right away when taken outside. He is currently on meds for his heart murmur (grade 4-6). Please note that his heart meds make him very thirsty, so he drinks a lot of water. This means he pees frequently at no fault of his own. His foster has him wear a diaper to be safe/avoid accidents in the home. We would gladly explain more about that over the phone. Oliver's bright- he would communicate with you when he wants something by whining and barking briefly. Oliver's got a solid appetite and eats well these days. He deserves a forever family who gives him unconditional love. Please e-mail us if you are interested to foster to adopt or better yet adopt Oliver. Our adoption process needs to be 100% approved.
