About Ellie

This is my baby, Ellie. We call her Ellie Dog as it just has always fit her. She is the sweetest, most loving dog I have ever owned. She insists on sitting in your lap (despite her size), sleeping on your legs when you are on the couch, or sleeping right next to you in bed. She loves a good game of tug-of-war and will play until she can't anymore. She loves everyone she meets and loves kids. However, due to recent behavioral changes we can not keep her with our other dogs. She has developed extreme dog aggression and we do not know what triggers her as it is only with certain dogs. This has caused a problem with our other dogs, and she is not able to live the life she deserves. She has been staying with my parents, but has recently gone after their dogs as well. My husband and I are gone for 12 plus hours a day and our new house does not have a yard. We know it is not fair to her to leave her home by herself all day knowing someone else could give her the love and attention she deserves. I am hoping to rehome her, as hard as it may be for me. I know that being a good dog owner means doing what is right for her, and not what is right for me. I will be very picky about who takes her, and I would like to always stay in contact with whoever adopts her. This is the hardest decision I have had to make, but I know there is someone who will be able to love her as much as I do.
