About Kuma

Say hello to Kuma! Kuma is a 1-2 year old hound who weighs about 40 pounds. She is a sweet, highly intelligent girl who aims to please and gives so many kisses! Kuma figured out part of a dog-treat puzzle we had sitting out less than 30 seconds after entering our house-what a smart pup! Kuma is very high energy and needs lots of stimulation, and she learns new things very quickly. Although Kuma was one of seven dogs left behind when her previous owners moved, she will need to be given patience in adjusting with siblings. She is doing great playing with her foster sister after learning the rules of the house. Kuma does well in her crate at night and is working on the command 'go crate' to help her get in it more easily. She also does well on walks. This smart sweetie deserves a home where she'll never be abandoned again! Kuma is heartworm negative, spayed and is currently being fostered in Camp Hill, PA. We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $300 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $350 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate.
