About Arya

Welcome Arya to CCPAL. She is a 20-month old Dane/Lab or Pointer is our best guess. She is potty trained, okay on a leash, good in a crate and good with cats she was surrendered when her mom had to suddenly move to Washington and couldn't take her with her on the trip. She is a great dog and would be good in a family as a companion. She would be good with adults or kids. We think 10 or older on the kids because they are old enough to learn proper treatment of dogs. She is leggy and tall and weighs about 65 pounds. She would make a nice walking, running, hiking or sitting reading a book companion. She is a wonderful combination of active and relaxed. She is attentive and looks to you for direction when you call her. She does know her name and comes when you call her. She would make an easy transition to her forever home. She is currently in Maine and can be adopted to a great home. Her best home would be with a person with a fenced yard. She does have some leash reactivity so you would need to be able to work with that or her exercise would be done in the yard. She would prefer to have someone around most of the time, as she does get some separation anxiety. She loves women as her owner and fosters were women. She is currently in a home with children.
