About Shaq

Shaq is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia on 1/10 because of kennel stress and anxiety. Shaq urgently needs to leave because he currently only allows handling with select handlers and otherwise has kennel reactivity that is not allowing him be managed in the shelter. All four paws on the floor waiting at front of kennel. Did not engaged or react. When I put my hand out he sniffed it through the kennel and offered a small tail wag. Opened kennel door to leash and he backed away a few steps when kennel door opened, but then re-approached and was easily leashed. Walked quickly through the row of kennels crouching down when other dogs would bark. Brought him into the foster office and dropped his leash. At first he cautiously explored his surroundings, sniffing around. I grabbed a bag of treats and sat on the floor, and other staff member was also in the room with a handful of treats.
