STRICT RULE FOR MARTY: He needs a fully enclosed fence. 2 year old male Border Terrier mix, about 20 pounds. Hi! My name is Marty McFly. I'm healthy and full of energy. I was found as a stray and freezing at a trailer park in Yakima area. I'm very friendly to people and want all your attention and pets! I love to sleep in a bed or just chill with my foster family humans and dogs. My superpower is falling asleep instantly! I found my place in my foster's 'pack' but unfamiliar dogs often make me nervous: I bark, whine and pull my leash. But I'm working on that! I'm also very reactive to noises: they can scare me or cause me to bark non-stop. I'm okay with bathing, brushing my teeth with yummy toothpaste but hate nail trimming. I'm very active and playful so I'll need pals for my daily exercises to avoid getting bored. I'm very curious and may try to escape if yard fence isn't secure enough. I will need some training to reduce my anxiety and reactivity but I will pay back with my limitless love! Adoption contract and fee applies. Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. If you live within a five-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
