About RUSTY - ADOPTION PEND

** ADOPTION PENDING ** PLEASE READ ALL OF RUSTY'S BIO ** BONDED TO FRANKLIN WILL NEED TO BE ADOPTED TOGETHER ** This sweet, sweet baby ( guessing around 10 months ) is starting to come out of his shell with the help of lots of love & affection. He is a shy, timid boy, a little anxious that jumps at fast movements & sudden loud noise's. He is leery of men & keeps his distance but never aggressive. Rusty loves playing with his BFF, Franklin but doesn't want too much to do with the other dogs as far as playing. He likes other dogs, cats & kids. For his age he isn't real high energy, loves to sleep & chew on a toy. He has been caught chewing on furniture but stops when his name is said. We are working on potty training him but like Franklin is not a fan of the rain so again, pee pads will need to be a option or a belly band & you might need to work with both dogs on getting them trained. We are not sure of his breed, his prior owners said they were told he was a Dachsund/Maltese/Chi mix but we see only Dachsund facial features, he has longer legs, thin build & is a medium sized pup. He does have Vizsla features or maybe Pharoah Hound, Lab? Who knows! Right now he is a bit under weight but we are trying to fatten him up. He is kennel trained for overnight as long as Franklin is with him in the same kennel. Neither dog is a candidate of keeping in a kennel / crate over night & then again when you go to work... they like their freedom & young dogs shouldn't be cooped up. Neither dog is a outside dog & they will need a nice warm loving patient home Rusty will need a 6 ft. fence... he is a jumper, in his prior home he escaped a few times by jumping the fence. The ideal home for both dogs is a retired person/couple or a family with a stay-at-home person. ** Please be prepared as well as all family members to take on 2 young dogs that need some training, it's about what you can do for them... not about what they can do for you** His neuter date the beginning of February & until that is done he isn't available for adoption but we are accepting applications.
