About FRANKLIN - ADOPTION PE

** ADOPTION PENDING ** PLEASE READ ALL OF THE BIO Franklin is a tiny 1 yr old guy with a big feisty personality. He's very loving, cuddly & playful especially with his BFF Rusty, they are a bonded pair that will be adopted together. Franklin isn't a big eater but he does love his chicken jerky ! He likes other dogs no matter the size & cats. Because he's so small kids in the home need to be old enough to respect his size. He likes stuffed toys & stashes them away in his preferred hiding spot. We are working on getting him potty trained but he is not a fan of the rain so pee pads will need to be an option for him or a belly band.. As of right now he hasn't figured out the doggy door but does sometimes go to the door when he wants out. In his prior home he was known to escape thru the fence often so a secure 5 ft. fence will be required. He is vocal if he hears something but he quiet's down fairly quickly. So far he will play with his people & Rusty, he wont play much with the other dogs. Him & Rusty sleep at night together in the same wire kennel, if loose he will sleep under the covers with you. He loves to burrow in the blankets. They like they're freedom so not candidate's of being in a kennel all night & all day while you are at work. Franklin's nueter date is January 28th, until that is done they won't be available for adoption but we are accepting applications. The ideal owner for these 2 will be a retired couple/person, a work - at- home person ( not because of COVID19) or a stay - at - home person Franklin & Rusty are not outside dogs, they will need to be in the house & kept warm. ** Please make sure you & all family members are prepared to take on 2 young dogs that need some training .... it isn't about what a dog can do for you, it's about what you can do for them** If you are interested in meeting/adopting Franklin please complete an online application at our website, secondchancedogs.net.
