About Ellie

Meet Ellie! This sweet senior is looking for her furever family and home! Ellie is estimated to be between 8-10 years old and she has been through a lot in those years. Shortly after being found about 2 months ago in rural Virginia (abandoned, emaciated, and tied to a tree), she was diagnosed with diabetes. Her diabetes had been left untreated for so long that she developed cataracts, making her mostly blind. There is also evidence that she was shot at some point in her life. Despite everything humans have put her through, Ellie is very outgoing and loves nothing more than snuggling up and meeting new people! She moves around well using her nose and ears. She did well with 2 dogs that are laid back like she is, but she is not fond of cats. Ellie is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and house trained. Please consider opening your heart and home to this loving, sweet, deserving girl! Our best guess is she is a min pin mix. She currently weighs about 20 lbs. and is slowly putting weight back on now that we seem to have gotten her diabetes under control, and still need to gain a few lbs.
