About Pinky (west)

Hi, my name is PINKY - ID#A4499575. I am a spayed female, gray American Pit Bull Terrier mix, and I weigh about 50 lbs. The shelter staff think I am about 3 years old, and I have been at the shelter since Nov 16, 2020. Pinky is in need of medical help for a skin condition that certainly can be managed much better in a home environment. She is super seeet, mellow, easygoing and affectionate. Can somebody offer her a foster or a forever home? Here are some recent notes from volunteers who have spent time with Pinky: 12/13/2020 WALK Easy kennel pull, nervous around shelter, settled further away from the building. Very treat motivated, sits very nice for treats. Moderate return from the back - was overstimulated returning to kennel, wanting to push out and fence fight with neighbor. Distracted with treats and removed leash. 12/16/2020 WALK Easy pull from the kennel / initially moved out easily - became more apprehensive as we got further from the building - need treats to coax into keep moving. Would walk a bit then stop and not want to move out - used treats to encourage. Pulled moderately as we approached the building again and moderately reactive to other dogs upon re-entering building. Easy return to run. 12/28/2020 WALK Easy to leash and remove from the kennel. She was not interested in the other dogs in the building. She wanted to walk where she wanted to go today. It took a little coaxing to get her to walk once we exited the shelter. She then did well for the rest of the walk and even pulled slightly on the leash.
