3 year old dog Mojo. 87 pounds. Spayed. Chipped. All vaccines up to date through banfield pet hospital in San Jose. Loves playing tug of war & chewing on plushies. Hates being left alone. Scared & jumpy at night. Super friendly & physically affectionate with people.Loves to go out for walks. Very intelligent learns quickly. Loves meeting strangers. Bites if approached unexpectedly when eating or snacking due to food aggressive behavior. Anxious at fireworks & loud noises. Hunts small animals, rat catcher outdoors. She was an unexpected gift from my aunt when she was a month old. Came to us covered in fleas & tics & bites on her ears from a bad breeder. She's a very sweet loving intelligent dog but gets really bad anxiety at night & guards treats & food and other items she sees as high value. Her first attack was on our small elderly dog over a toy during playtime when she was 1 years old. We did some beginner level group training classes before we moved & had a private trainer for 2 lessons. She suffers from anxiety at night & from sounds outside. The last time she bit me was on New Year's Eve due to fireworks which terrify her and I reached over while she had her bone. I've attempted to do the recommended training exercises & strict daily routine, but I failed in giving her needed exercise & attention as it takes a huge toll on me due to being disabled from chronic pain, severe mental illness, & autism. My mother has decided to surrender her because she doesn't believe that I can keep up the training & safety level needed at home because I often have these lapses in judgment & that I can't give her proper quality of life to due my limitations.It's been a huge struggle for me to properly care for her with several moves, moving across the country last year in December away from our family & relatives & the pandemic removing the resources I had like group classes & dog walkers which I rely on completely for her exercise. She's sweet & very intelligent & loves cuddling hugs & playtime. She hunts small animals & gets jealous & aggressive with other dogs over toys. She loves people & always behaves great at the vet & grooming appointments. I know there's a lot I've done wrong but I don't want to completely fail her. She is currently taking vet prescribed Prozac nightly, Nexgard Flea & tic prevention once monthly, heartworm prevention vaccine every 6 months, purina calming aid once nightly, & Trazodone when there are fireworks.
