About Moxy

Beautiful, strong, social dog. Has lived with two little dogs and likes to play tag and fake fight. Never been aggressive towards anything, but does bark once or twice and look at you when someone comes to the door. If you tell her its okay she usually stops. Knows commands by voice and hand, especially if you have a treat! Very food motivated. Regular food works as treats. Previous owner must have made her jump up in the air for treats because she sometimes does that spontaneously even when you don't have one. Age is unknown due to rescue, but suspected to be over 11 yrs. 35 lbs -small for her breed. Enjoys playing fetch but usually starts just chewing on toy after a few throws. Or, she will bring it to you but not let you take it (wants to tug with you). Needs a chew toy always available like a younger dog. Needs constant close attention and strict schedule (like a toddler) for going out to potty, but she does give signals when she needs to go out right away. Loves to cuddle like a self-perceived lap dog, sometimes butting in very insistently to get in your lap. Sometimes jumps up and may take some time to learn if and when that is ok. Is used to being on furniture and beds when allowed. Sort of a high maintenance doggo for an experienced dog owner. Has lots of love to give and tries really hard to be a good girl. Moxy is a great dog for the right companion.
