About Alcor

Hi! My name is Alcor, but I go by Al as well. I'm a Southern boy from the great state of TN. I'm guessed to be a pointer mix that is about 3 years old. I weigh about 45 lbs. Despite my fun times I've been having, I've got a bone to pick. This whole foster gig is nice, they treat me like one of their own, but I'm looking for my happily ever after! My own family. My foster Mom is great, she gives me treats, plays with me, and I LOVE her belly rubs, but this house is not my forever. Maybe you can read more about me and see if we will match up! A few things about me that you might like to know. ~ I am hesitant when meeting new people- I need a slow introduction, time and patience. But I soon warm up and am turning over for belly rubs or have my head in your lap. ~ I had a foster sister here for awhile and we played great together. I seem to be better with laid back female dogs. I like to play A LOT! But I can be picky with my doggie friends. ~ My favorite toys are Nylabones and balls of all sorts. I am a chewer, so stuffed animals and soft toys don't last very long when I play with them. I like it when foster Mom throws the ball for me, maybe you can help me work on playing fetch better though. I don't always like to bring the balls back HAHA! ~ I have some prey drive with bunnies, deer, cats, and squirrels. I did get to meet a cat here on accident. ~ I like my human foster siblings, but I may not do too well with small children under 12. I think my best home would be one with people who like to snuggle sometimes and go on adventures like hiking at other times. I really need to have my own fenced in yard that I can play ball in and sunbathe in the grass when I need a rest. Some other great things about me that have been observed in my foster home.
