About Finnley

Great Pyrenees
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Please meet adoptable 4 - ish years old Finley. We don't know much about Finn's previous life, but when she arrived at her foster home in August she was full of fear and uncertainty. She most likely had never seen the inside of a home, wasn't sure of what a leash was - hesitated to show any affection, and has a paralyzing fear of ceiling fixtures. Sweet Precious Finn arrived with multiple Tick borne illnesses that were to severe for antibiotics to cure on it's own. She must have been in so much pain, but you would never have known - cause thur it all Finn's gentle and sweet spirit is unwavering. Today - Finn has BLOSSOMED into such a wonderful companion. Her very favorite activities are snuggling, Bum Scratches, Playing in the snow, eating treats and going for walks. SERIOUSLY - Don't even think about putting your shoes on for any other reason unless you're ready to disappoint a tail-wagging polar bear. Finley gets along with everyone, no matter the age or species. She rarely barks, she walks PYRfectly on a leash, is fully house trained, and is just the sweetest girl EVER'| She is honestly such a terrific dog A few things that a forever home will need to be award of: Because of her past, Finn will likely need to stay on an anti anxiety medication long term (don't worry - you can easily sneak the pills into her food) the cost is about $30.00 a month. She requires special food to keep her bladder infections away - but it isn't much more costly than typical premium food. She also has a lingering fear of hard shiny floors which may resolve in time. This was solved in her foster home with small washable throw rugs and strategically placed doggie beds/blankets. (She has really made so MUCH progress - such an awesome girl). . If interested in meeting Finley, please contact Sandy or respond by e-mail -- Finley will LOVE you for it! We will also need you to fill out our adoption survey Finley will need an above ground fence for safe play and exercise. We are looking for homes in the surrounding Pittsburgh area.
