About Cato

Cato was born on July 11,2018, he has lived with us since 7weeks old. Cato really is a great dog! We are a family of 6, we have 10y/o triplets and a 7y/o, he is good with the kids BUT he has snipped at them a couple of times(usually when they try to get something away from him that he shouldn't have). Cato weighs more than all of the kids and over the last year my husband has had a lot of health issues and not able to deal with the dog, so that leaves me to take him out, walk him, etc(we do not have a fenced yard,shame on us!). It is honestly jsut too much for me to handle being a mom of 4, working FT as a nurse and now helping my husband, I feel bad for Cato as I know he is not being able to live his life to the fullest. I do worry about rehoming him as I also know that Cane Corsos do become very loyal to their owners and it may take a bit to get used to a new owner. Cato will definitely need someone who is Alpha or he will walk all over you, we have had issues with him jumping up and grabbing things off the counter and sink, we have a training collar on him which does help. He is potty trained, crate trained(he sleeps in the crate at night and stays in the crate when I am not at home). He knows simple commands and is VERY good with other dogs, big or little. He weighs about 120#.
