Meet Yorkshire aka Booger!! First, the basics: Booger is 3 y/o & a male Shar-Pei/American Bulldog/German Shepard mix. He is about 60 pounds currently, but came to us extremely malnourished and still could gain 5+ more pounds. The potential: Booger is one of the most intelligent, most athletic, most driven dogs I've ever met. From the first day I picked him up, I knew he was special. We immediately started working with a professional trainer to harness his energy. He is high energy & will get anxious without structure. He has picked up on every command we've tried and LOVES to work for his food. He is not scared of any object and I could see him being an amazing agility dog. He will jump any object, works off-leash, will jump up onto any table surface, and wait. He is food food food motivated. He has no prey drive ��%A4� I could also see him being a great trick dog or dock diving dog. He was in animal control for over 1 year & came to us completely shut down, had entropion, has Heartworms, and not fixed. Because of his entropion, he was nearly blind, but we got him surgery and now that is fixed! But, he is still recovering from his neuter surgery and will have to be treated for Heartworms before he can reach his full potential. Booger is looking for someone who's willing to work with him through his recovery & continue his training potential. Booger is good with other dogs & cats. He did come to us with food aggression, so all of his meals are hand-fed! Again, he works with a professional trainer every day and there have been no issues. So, he potentially could go to a home with kids. But, with parents who are aware of dog behavior. Booger's adoption fee is $150 which includes his vaccines, microchipping, neuter, and preventatives, professional training, entropion surgery, and Heartworm treatment. When you are contacted, you will be told if your application is approved or not. If it is we will proceed with a meet and greet. After everyone has had a chance to do a meet and greet we will then proceed with the adoption to the selected family. If you comment 'interested' that does not count as an application.
