About Rosie

Adoption Fee: $375
Catahoula / Lab
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Hi there! I am Rosie! I am a sweet and lively 1 yr 25lb Catahoula mix from TX. My coat is really cool - it has shades of white and light brown, and it looks like I have big spots in the right lighting. I have been told I have beautiful and unique eyes - they are even different colors! One is blue and the other is brown; isn't that also cool?! Despite a rough start in life, I just want to be around my humans. It does take me a little time to learn that I can trust you, and until then I might be super shy. But once we become acquainted and I see you just want to love me too, I will never be far from your side. Need a lap warmer? That's me! Need someone to explore the neighborhood, forests, maybe the whole wide world with? That is also me! Doesn't matter where we go, as long as we can do it together, I am ready to go when you are. I am very good with other dogs - in fact I love them! Having a confident canine sibling in the house that loves to play as much as I do would really help me acclimate. I also love toys - big soft ones with squeakers that I can snuggle and nice sturdy ones I can chew. I am super gentle, crate-trained (in fact, it is my safe space), and potty-trained, and I am learning humans with treats are really great. I love exploring all the smells and sights, so I still like to pull on the leash, and my foster parents are trying to work with me on it. I am also working on basic commands, and because of my trust issues and initial fear of humans standing over me, we are taking it really slow. Kids over the age of 12 are required for me and, while I have been around a cat before, cats and livestock are not recommended in my new home. Have you ever seen a dog prance and run and jump at the same time with a massive grin on their face? How about in the snow? That's me! I love running, prancing, and generally goofing around in the yard, and I can jump very, very high, so a very secure 6' fence is required for me. Although I may be very shy when we first meet, just give me time to decompress - I am very loyal and loving, and possibly the snuggliest little pup you may ever meet! If interested in meeting Rosie, complete our application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms as the first step. We require the application, home and reference check and meet with everyone in the home. Rosie's adoption fee is $375.
