About Winnie

My name is Winnie! I am a 53 pound 2 1/2 year old German Shepherd mixed with Beagle. An elderly woman adopted me from a shelter when I was a cute little puppy. When I grew into a 53 pound adult, the lady surrendered me to a different shelter. She said I was a strong German Shepherd, not a little Beagle. Good Samaritans for animals was afraid I might not do well or be euthanized since I am an active girl, so the Good Samaritans got me out of the shelter in hopes someone like you would adopt me. I'm an inside dog. My foster Daddy keeps me inside except for going potty in the yard or take a leash walk. I like to be near my family. I protect my family, so I want to sleep in the room with my loved one. Even better, I like sleeping with my Momma or Daddy. I am potty trained, but please take me outside to do business. After I am finished, I want to come inside to be with you. Please don't put yummy food trash and wrappers in your garbage can. I have a Beagle nose. The smell tempts me to dumpster dive. I don't like to be in trouble. I'm leashed trained. I can walk, jog, or hike. I love to be active. I'm quite the athlete tomboy. I have never had heartworms, and always kept up heartworm prevention.
