About Blu

Blu 9 years old 65 lbs Hello! My name is Matthew, I'm 28 and I've recently found myself in a situation where I need to find a home for my best bud since I was 19 years old. I got her as a few months old and she's been with me through every part of growth into becoming an adult. Imagining how attached I've gotten to her through such important times in my life it kills me that I can't have her around for the next stages of life. She's taught me more about responsibility and selflessness more than anything or any one person I've faced. Due to COVID and trying to move on to the next steps in my life I'm having to split away from my family and move into a small apartment.. the past few months have been nothing but searching for places to accommodate a dog of her breed and a price I can afford. On a positive note I have finally found a great place but of course like everywhere else will not allow a dog especially one of her breed and size. I have up until late January-mid February to find someone that will take care of her. As much as it will kill me I will be more than happy to give her up to someone that can take better care of her than me.. that is all I want for her. Blu is extremely sweet, playful, relaxed, and she listens to commands well. Her energy levels are pretty fair but as an older dog she likes to rest. She walks great on a leash. She is great with people but has been protective over her food at times, I have altered her feeding to a routine and haven't experienced it since. She doesn't get along with other dogs but I have trained her to ignore them not completely but for the most part. She has always eaten the best quality foods and I have spend thousands and thousands of dollars on her. If you can't give her a home yourself maybe you can share this with someone who may..
