INTAKE DATE: 11/10/2020 Young, fun and full of Joy, a baby boy waits for Santa to bring him his perfect family! (3 Zoom, zoom, zoom'|.he flies by you at the speed of light, ears flying high above his head, a huge smile on his adorable face, and joy in his heart. Is there anything as beautiful or so full of hope as a puppy? At 7 months of age, APOLLO hasn't a care in the world. He is happy to play with all his new friends at the shelter, eager for treats, his tail wagging furiously and his bum wiggling to beat the band. This active baby boy lives life in the moment, and his happiness is contagious. Apollo has asked Santa for a family as fun, active, and eager to explore the big wide world as he is. It's not much to ask, right? He's such a sweetie, and just needs an experienced family who can give him the structure and puppy training he needs to round out his skill set. So don't let him languish, this boy wants a home for the holidays. MESSAGE OUR PAGE or EMAIL US at [email protected] for assistance. A volunteer writes: We met Apollo just over a month ago, and didn't post him because as a 7 month old puppy he had so much interest! For various reasons things didn't work out for those adopters, but their loss is your gain! Now 8 months old Apollo is ready to be home for the holidays. He's become a favorite of volunteer Mary, who always plays with him and wrote the following about him: Apollo is still a puppy with adorable floppy ears, an enchanting personality, and an endless desire play fetch. He is housebroken, intelligent, and quick to adapt to routines. Whenever I approach his kennel, he is always calmly laying down. As soon as he knows that there is a chance of playing fetch in the yard, he gets very excited and starts his puppy cries to be taken out. He is quick to do his business on the street, because he knows that the sooner that's over with , the sooner he can go to the yard to play fetch! When we arrive at the yard, he knows that we first have to select balls to play fetch with, and is eager to help with that. While in the yard, Apollo is quick to learn when I show him the starting/ending point for the fetch game. When I return him to his kennel, he does not resist much but does remember that he will get a treat once he is inside. Apollo is very strong and full of energy, so he would do best in a home without young children and with an owner who can provide him with lots of exercise. Apollo has all the qualities to make a perfect companion to anyone who can open their heart and home to this special pup. A volunteer writes in Apollo's name: I have not lived with other animals. I am not one to sit still! I will flourish in a home with someone that will keep me mentally and physically active! I'm ready to learn! I need a patient person who has the time to work on training with me. I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.
