Fiona is a very sweet deaf and comical girl that loves to play with her cat and dog siblings,as well as people. She LOVES cuddling, and when she does she is not content with simply touching you-instead she will push into you before settling, like she just can't get close enough. She unfortunately was in a dogfight ring before getting rescued at about 3 mo old. She has moved on well from that horrible beginning. She is a VERY smart girl who learns very quickly. She would thrive extremely well with someone that could teach her sign language. She has not been exposed to babies or toddlers at her foster home-ages 9 and older only, and she has ADORED them! She also gets along well with most people, except twice, acted defensive and barked at 2 men on separate occasions. She does well on a leash and ignores other dogs in their yards, but she is very territorial of her own, and did go after a dog in her yard(was on leash,no harm done). It is easy to forget she is deaf, as she reads body language and facial expressions of both dogs and people, and when an elk enters the yard, she is the 1st(before siblings that hear)out the dog door with her keen sense of smell. I cannot stress enough what a sweet girl but she does have the above special needs and precautions, and potential adopters will be screened for the ideal person and situation, accordingly
