Biography Important Information Please read! Please read! If you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the directions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less than ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train. Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue. However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are micro chipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. Hi, my name is Rosebud, AKA Rosie the Riveter, and I am 11 pounds and 10 years old. I am a red miniature dachshund who has a tiny mix of another breed in me but I have the short legs, long body, smooth coat and red coloring of a pure bred doxie but my face it a bit shorter. I have a very sad story to tell you. I had a wonderful home but my mama passed away. The nice lady that was taking care of my mama adopted me and gave me a great life. Unfortunately she passed away very unexpected also, so I have suffered terribly with the loss of both of moms. I was very sad for a few weeks while grieving the loss of my second mom but I am now in a foster home waiting for someone to make me a permanent part of their family, again. I am the friendliest little girl you will ever meet. I am curious, clever, spunky and love my people. I even play a little with the other dogs at my foster home. I definitelyneed a.quiet and calm home, because as very common with doxies, I have a sensitive tummy. I will be your most loyal companion, cuddle on the couch with you, ride in the car. I don'tlike to walk on a leash so need an enclosed yard. I have the most expressive eyes and bold personality but am super submissive and gentle. I dance when my foster mom talks to me, spin circles when it's dinner time and bury myself in my favorite blanket like a stuffed burrito to take my afternoon nap. I love the sun and my new home must have a spot for me outside with a secure area so I can do my sunbathing. I am not a barker but will alert you if something seems strange. I am looking for loving parents with a low key lifestyle and little change to our daily routine. If you are busy and on the go, I am not the dog for you. I am a healthy girl but had all my teeth removed. I do fine and will never need another dental. If you want a perfect little doxie mix girl, please ask for me, Rosebud, on your application to www.breederadoptions.org 120620-02
